Exceptional Russian Gilt Silver and Enamel Icon, marked, Moscow, 84, 1881, assayer rubbed, maker K.A.A (in Cyrillic), all silver sections done by same silversmith, of rectangular form, painted with image of Mother of Christ and Child, adorned by seed pearl ground on cloud thread with a ruby accent, the oklad finely engraved and pierced with accents in enamel, in tones of blue, red and white, 31.5cm x 26.5cm
