Rare Pair Coalbrookdale ‘Lily of the Valley’ Cast Iron Garden Chairs, second half of the 19th century, stamped in cast ‘No.36’ to back and inner leg, the back with radiating Lily of the Valley flower and foliate design, with tapering armrests above a pierced cast iron seat, height 84cm, width arm to arm 67cm, depth approximately 59cm

Catalogue Note: The 1875 Coalbrook-Dale Casting Catalogue: Section III, p.272, illustrates the chair as pattern number 36 with optional grained pine wood or cast iron seat. A matching bench seat was also available.
